I’m Anna, a San Francisco-based food lover and kitchen experimentalist. I recently spent a couple years living in Mexico City and have a special love of Mexican food and culture, but I seek travel and taste on a global scale. I love to bake and cook, and am constantly looking to diversify the ingredients and techniques I use. I enjoy trying new food-related things – like growing herbs on my deck or ordering produce deliveries from a local farm and trying new markets and restaurants. This blog is where I chronicle my adventures, in the kitchen and beyond. I hope that people will feel free to comment, suggest, and share their own tips and ideas based on the topics I share. So why do I call it chile & chocolate? Because it is one of those surprisingly delicious culinary combinations that represents the diversity of the food spectrum, with a special nod to Mexico. Buen Provecho!
